Log cabin keeps growing

Hello, I just joined the KAL. I read about it on the Mason Dixon KAL. The picture is my log cabin blankie. I plan on doing four more rounds of logs and then I'll be done. I try to knit at least one "log" every day or two. The "logs" have gotten sooo long and they take a good amount of time. The yarn I'm using is just Sugar & Cream.

It looks great! I've never seen so many colors of Sugar & Creme!

I love your color scheme! I even recognize some of the same colors as what mine has... though yours is so well thought out, or appears to be. Mine is a mish mosh of colors that I had "tried" to keep some kind of order, but ended up so disorganized with the placements. I just have my last stripe to do, then will figure out some sort of border.

Did you go into it with a plan? If so, please, do tell!

Oh, forgot to say that I learned how to do continental knitting in order to do the long stripes faster. It's awkward to learn if you are already doing the "throwing" method, but well worth the time. I am on my 7th row of stripes that are 9 rows wide...pretty long... but my last one just took me 2 days of "spare" time.
